Full-time Sr Risk Management Analyst

Position Details:

Under the direction of the Vice President of Corporate Risk Management and the Manager of Corporate Risk Management:
1) Assists in the implementation and management of a comprehensive enterprise-wide risk management and insurance program that minimizes exposures through loss prevention and loss control programs, stabilizes risk transfer costs, and reduces the System's total cost of risk.
2) Assists Legal Dept as it relates to special projects associated with claims management and clinical risk management.

Essential Duties: (1/3 analyzing and reporting, 1/3 insurance renewals, 1/3 ERM and other)

Administer, update and extract data from the Oasis Risk Management Information system (this includes uploads, testing, reporting, and maintenance).
Assist in the administration of insurance programs that provide coverage for the System's loss exposure, by making decisions within the positions' authority level, for assigned insurance programs including property damage, automobile, general and medical professional liability, workers' compensation and/or excess liability insurance.
Assist with all insurance renewals, including the accumulation of accurate and complete underwriting information; development of submission booklets and applications.
Assist with the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program, including system wide risk identification, prioritization, analysis, reporting, mitigation and monitoring.
Produce and analyze reports within requested time frames established by department.
Process internal and external request for insurance information and maintain department database (e.g. certificates).
Process internal and external request for Bonds and maintain department database.
Calculate property values annually and work with Real Estate to update department database.
Provide budget input for cost of insurance policies and programs.
Responsible for maintaining databases for system-wide claim reporting, including promptly and accurately obtaining and inputting data into appropriate database according to department standards.
Prepare and analyze monthly reports on claims data and reserves for the Vice President of Corporate Risk Management, the Manager of Corporate Risk Management and the Deputy General Counsel
Interface with all levels of System personnel and a diverse group of service providers including but not limited to all brokers, underwrit

Experience & Knowledge:
Minimum of 7 years experience in risk management/insurance or related field required.
Healthcare experience preferred.o Must be detail-oriented and organized, with good analytical and problem solving ability.
Ability to function independently with minimum direct supervision and as a team player in a fast-paced environment required.
Notable client service, communication, presentation and relationship building skills required.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidential information with discretion required.

Special Skills & Equipment Knowledge:
Demonstrated ability to use PCs, Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint), and general office equipment (i.e., printers, copy machine, FAX machine, etc.) required.
Experience with Risk Management Information System's preferred.
Knowledge of Oasis and Oracle software is preferred.

Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration or related field, required.

License Requirements:
Associate Risk Management (ARM)/ Certified Risk Manager (CRM) or similar insurance certification preferred.
