Full-time Analyst-Risk Consulting

We are currently seeking a Risk Analyst for an opportunity that will be outsourced through Aon Global Risk Consulting and is located at our client premises in Schaumburg, IL

General Requirements:
Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of general insurance, including, liability, property, worker’s compensation and surety bonds.
Demonstrate general knowledge of risk management practices and the professional ethics required to function within a department
Demonstrate an awareness of new issues in the field of risk management
Demonstrate good communication skills, written and oral.
Exhibit the interpersonal skills needed to maintain good working relationships with brokers, carriers, vendors and customers.
Demonstrate teamwork, flexibility regarding assignments, responsiveness to the firm’s needs and the needs of its customers, and a generally positive attitude toward the firm and the risk management department.
Demonstrate a good work ethic, i.e., punctuality and regular attendance through prior work history.
Perform other duties as required; e.g., supporting performance bond activity.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Maintains effective and productive relationships with client and its customers.
Gathers and analyzes data on exposures, loss history and standard and unique coverage needs for submissions with brokers. Performs submission assembly/creation where assigned.
Manages client open items lists and responds to client ad-hoc requests.
Actively supports and monitors the renewal process including reviewing or following up on binder, policies and endorsements.
Process and review invoices and month-end department account reconciliation
Process and review Certificates of Insurance
Generate monopolistic workers compensation payroll reports and quarterly payroll audit report
General administrative duties including ordering office supplies, incoming mail, outgoing mail/overnight packages, filing, copying, scanning, maintaining policies.
Assist in gathering underwriting data for renewals
Cross train to fill in for coworker in case of absence
Download Risk Console reports
Assist in processing standby Letters of Credit used to support performance bonds
Process charge out of costs to businesses for performance bonds
Contract Review including equipment and office leases, special events, customer agreements
Handle overflow from department manager & co-workers
Other duties assigned by department manager
 
Professional Education
Bachelors Degree or equivalent with Risk Management/Business related curriculum preferred
CIC, CPCU, or ARM preferred

Experience Required
Minimum three to five years in an insurance related organization.
Ability to work with various parties, including underwriters, brokers, lawyers, etc.
Proficiency in PC office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook is required.
