Full-time Underwriter with 5+ Years of Specialty Lines Experience - Strong Relationship Skills Needed

Chubb Specialty is looking for an Executive Protection Underwriter for our Houston Office. This position will be responsible for generating new and renewal business for D&O, EPL, Crime and Fiduciary lines of coverage. Specific responsibilities include producer relationship management, compliance with underwriting and file documentation guidelines/objectives while achieving revenue and profit goals, marketing and prospecting activities, and close coordination with branch and marketing management and fellow underwriters to accomplish business objectives.

Candidate should have a proven and successful track record, with a minimum of 5 years of experience underwriting D&O, EPL Crime and Fiduciary lines of coverage. The candidate will work under limited direction with very broad limits and authority and will be considered a Technical Resource for the department and other functional areas. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication and negotiation skills and be able to apply those skills both internally and externally. Candidate should also have a proven track record of effectively working with, and building relationships with brokers/agents. A commitment to superb technical skills, execution of product strategy and proper file documentation is also necessary. Qualified candidates will have proven ability to execute new and/or modified strategies in an evolving, dynamic legal and claim environment.

Bachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience.
