Full-time Personal Lines Underwriter for Chubb - Product knowledge preferred

Currently, Chubb is seeking a Personal Lines Underwriter for the Kansas City Personal Lines Underwriting Center.

As a Personal Lines Underwriter you are accountable for:
• Financial performance of a $25 million book of personal business.
• Achieving profitable growth for producers located within the Western states.
• Successful market penetration and agency management including: 1) Acting as a key contact to build, maintain and manage customer/broker relationships (including regular broker visits based on business need), 2) Identifying opportunities for growth within new and existing production sources, 3) Performing front door management to filter new business and reinforce appetite and to conduct agency planning and goal setting including continual monitoring of progress.
• Predominately responsible for soliciting, risk selection and analysis (including documentation), pricing and sales of Chubb Personal Insurance products and services for new business. Working in a team environment with Underwriters, Appraisal, the Customer Service Center and Home Office.
• Meeting service standards established within CPI.
• Collecting and sharing competitor data with team.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:
• Solid knowledge of personal underwriting and insurance industry theories and practices
• Demonstrated technical expertise and product specific knowledge
• Proven, successful sales skills
• Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills. Ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external business partners.
• Experience developing marketing plans
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite as well as other business-related software

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
